This is one of my favorite spots at the Grand Canyon. I have painted it many times at different times of the day and of the year. This one was done from an 8x10 field study and photo reference.
James, this is quite an impressive painting! The colors are so gorgeous and realistic and the light and shadow areas are so nicely done. Makes me wish i were there surrounded by all that beauty you have conveyed.
