BEFORE THE STORM



      It was interesting to paint this image so small (6"x6"). I have a painting on my web site of the same image pretty large (48"x68"). I'm enjoying stretching myself a little and going into a new area.
     This image unknowingly captured the "Andrea Gale" in the harbor. It's not very evident in this small painting, but when I was doing the larger one I noticed that the greenish boat on the far right had Andrea Gale painted on it. That was the ship that was lost in the movie with George Clooney, based on a true story.
